Terms and Conditions

The services and products system for each country is different, therefore. We earnestly beg you to read carefully the following:

WHEN MAKE YOUR TRIP TO PERU:

Peru Kankou operates in the region according to a standard international in Tourism. However, we offer the best services to our customers with enough care, effort and diligence, traveling to Peru means having patience, a broad view of how works our country and good humor and understanding for the changes that may occur without notice, due to circumstances that may happen which are beyond our control. When booking any of our offered tours you should agree with the changes made by Peru Kankou, without responsibility on the circumstances.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

We earnestly recommend that you obtain travel insurance that covers accidents, medical expenses and emergency repatriation, including air rescue and air ambulance.

We also recommend that this cover cancellations and lost baggage. Please send a scanned copy of your policy to our email:

RISKS:

In adventure tours (Inca Trail, Salkantay, Ausangate, Choquequirau, Inca jungle, etc.). You assume the risks involved in such tours to be at risk.
By submitting your personal data for reservation, your passport number or ID (for Peruvian nationals) must be valid, please Peruvian authorities are strict on this issue. ISIC card (if applicable) must be valid and you will show it at the time of entering to the checkpoints and the voucher or document which made the reservation (original).

Circumstantial reasons:

This is any event that Peru Kankou could not avoid even using all possible means to solve. This includes events such as war or threat of this, riot, disease, natural disasters, severe weather, fire or similar events that are beyond our control.
In this case Peru Kankou will not be responsible on these cases and reserves the right of tourists to modify, delay or even cancel the trip.
Note:In case of the journey to the Inca Trail, once booked you can not make any changes because this is controlled by the INC (national institute of culture), the official Peruvian government entity.

TO MAKE RESERVATIONS (DEPOSI)

To assure your travel booking you must pay 50% of the total cost of the tour, the rest will be paid once you arrive to Cusco.

To get a discount as a student, you must provide a valid ISIC card, it is important that you send us this scanned at time of booking.

Postage costs will be covered by the customer and is not included in the cost of our tours.

Before the Walk Day you will receive a tour talk given by your guide (briefing) in our office at exact time with prior agreement (the exact time will be confirmed).

The final balance payment:

You will be requested to complete the remaining total payment in our office or at your hotel at the time of meeting and should be before starting your tour and in cash. We reserve the right to cancel your trip but making payments on time.

About Train Tickets:

In Cusco city there are two train operators companies that perform service to Machu Picchu because they are private companies, they manage and provide train schedules, we are subject to this arrangement. However this usually happens from time to time.

We have no control over these schedules so you agree to accept these terms.

CANCELLATIONS:

•The deposit sent to the reservation is NOT refundable or transferable
•You are obliged to inform Peru Kankou of any change or cancellation of your trip as soon as possible and you must be sure of that by sending the notice via e-mail.
•Once the final balance has been canceled, you can not refund the payment for cancellations, as any purchase of ticket or entrance is made on behalf of the passenger, however, give the possibility to give you some tickets, in case only 50% is paid unfortunately there will be no refund.
•A letter of complaint to your insurance company may also be provided by us upon request.

IMPORTANT:
We suggest you to take into consideration the possible problems that may occur in relation to the issue of altitude as Cusco is over 3,350 meters above sea level consult with your doctor before you begin your trip. Additionally it is recommended to help your body acclimate, drink plenty of fluids, eat foods rich in carbohydrates, avoiding alcohol and tobacco and especially drink coca tea (good for altitude sickness).
