If I need to stay in Cusco longer than planned because of unforseen circumstances, what should I do ?
Cusco offers large variety of excellent places to visit during the day, and has many good restaurants and other nighttime activities as well.
Can I stay an extra day in Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu) ?
After visiting Machupicchu tourists often want to stay an extra day in Aguas Calientes. This is possible, nut make sure you communicate with us so we can arrange your changes in transportation.
What is the weather like in Cusco ?
Cusco has two distict seasons – the rainy and dry season. The dry season is from May to October. The rainy season is from November to April. Cusco is at an altitude of 3,350 meters above sea level, and therefore at night in the dry season it can get quite cold, and you need adequate warm clothes.
HEALTH
Because you are visiting high altitude, do not forget to take the necessary precautions to avoid altitude sickness (called soroche). Be sure to drink coca tea hot when you arrive in Cusco or other high altitude lacations, and walk slowly and eat lightly during the first day.
